Harley-Davidson Road King hire in St. Petersburg
Picture a Harley and you probably picture something like the Road King: wide open bars, lots of chrome, a shape that has barely changed in decades. It is the image that sells Harleys. In St. Petersburg it rents for 14,000 ₽ a day, and riders need an A-category licence.
Engine and character
Its Milwaukee-Eight 107 engine displaces 1745 cc and produces 87 hp, with strong low-down pull and the deep, loping beat Harleys are known for. Think cruiser-tourer: classic open handlebar, no big fairing, chrome all round and room for two.
It is a bike that makes you slow down and enjoy things. Pottering around town, a sunset ride by the river, two days in the countryside: it handles each one with the same easy charm.
Road King rental price
| Term | Daily rate |
|---|---|
| 1 day | 14,000 ₽ |
| 2–3 days | 13,500 ₽ |
| 4–6 days | 12,500 ₽ |
| 7–14 days | 12,000 ₽ |
| 15–30 days | 10,500 ₽ |
A day on the Road King costs 14,000 ₽. A weekend, or any two to three days, is 13,500 ₽ a day; four to six days, 12,500 ₽. On a weekly hire you pay 12,000 ₽ a day, on a monthly one 10,500 ₽. Over thirty days that is 105,000 ₽ less than the one-day rate. The figure goes into the contract and stays there.
Day, weekend or a month of riding
A one-day hire is the easy way to find out whether a classic Harley is for you, before spending money on your own. Most riders, though, go for a weekend: the centre on Saturday, the open road on Sunday.
With a week you can explore Karelia and the countryside around the city at your own pace. A month gives you the bulk of the season with none of the hassle of owning, storing and maintaining a motorcycle. Longer bookings get a lower daily rate.
Who rents a Road King
- Fans of the classic look. Open bars, chrome and that sound, exactly as you imagined.
- City riders. Embankments, the centre, a long summer evening.
- Couples. Two days away from the city with a passenger on the back.
- Gift givers. A present for a friend who has wanted to ride a Harley for years.
Rides worth taking
After dark the embankments go quiet and the bridges lift one by one; a V-twin echoing off the granite is hard to beat. In daylight, take the coastal Primorskoye Highway, or spend an afternoon at Peterhof and Tsarskoye Selo. With more time, Vyborg and Karelia are classic cruiser country.
Riding beyond the KAD ring road? Let us know at booking and we will agree the route.
Road King, Road Glide or Thunderbird
Its sibling, the Road Glide, adds a big fairing and a larger 1868 cc engine, so it suits long distances better; it costs 15,000 ₽ a day. From Britain comes the Triumph Thunderbird cruiser at 12,000 ₽. Our Road King stays pure, traditional Harley. Both Harleys are gathered under Harley-Davidson rental.
