Harley-Davidson Road Glide hire in St. Petersburg
Built for long days in the saddle, Harley-Davidson's Road Glide is a big, heavy tourer with that unmistakable V-twin beat, plenty of chrome and a big front fairing to keep the wind off. In St. Petersburg it costs 15,000 ₽ a day to rent, and riders need an A-category licence.
The bike in brief
The heart of it is a Milwaukee-Eight 114, an 1868 cc V-twin producing 94 hp. More important is the torque. It pulls hard from tickover, so there is no need to rev it to make progress. The fairing, a relaxed riding position and a proper pillion seat mean two people can cover serious distance without aching.
A quick lap of the block would waste it. This is a machine for riding out of the city at breakfast and returning at sunset, still not wanting to get off.
Road Glide rental price
Each step up in rental length lowers the daily rate:
| Term | Daily rate |
|---|---|
| 1 day | 15,000 ₽ |
| 2–3 days | 14,500 ₽ |
| 4–6 days | 13,500 ₽ |
| 7–14 days | 13,000 ₽ |
| 15–30 days | 11,500 ₽ |
One day costs 15,000 ₽. Two or three days are 14,500 ₽ each, four to six 13,500 ₽. A weekly hire runs at 13,000 ₽ a day, a monthly one at 11,500 ₽, so thirty days work out 105,000 ₽ cheaper than paying day by day. Total and deposit are written into the contract before you ride off.
How long to ride it
A single day is how most riders start: the city in the morning, a country road after lunch, and a clear idea of whether a big Harley suits them, without buying one. The weekend is the favourite format. Embankments on Saturday, open highway on Sunday.
Give it a week and you can tour Karelia and the countryside around the city properly. A month covers a whole chunk of the season, with no purchase, no garage and no servicing to worry about. Longer hire, lower rate.
Why riders book the Road Glide
- Touring. A week through Karelia is precisely the job this bike was designed for.
- Two-up weekends. A comfortable pillion seat and wind protection for long stretches.
- A real test before buying. A full day tells you more than a short dealer ride.
- Photos. Chrome and that famous fairing frame themselves.
Where to ride
Evenings in St. Petersburg, when the embankments empty out and the bridges over the Neva start to open, are when a V-twin sounds its best. By day, take the coastal Primorskoye Highway by the Gulf of Finland, or spend an afternoon at Peterhof and Tsarskoye Selo. Longer still: Vyborg and Karelia, exactly the roads people hire a tourer for.
Heading past the KAD ring road? Mention it at booking and we will agree the route.
Road Glide or another bike
Prefer open bars and no big fairing? The Harley-Davidson Road King, 1745 cc and 87 hp, costs 14,000 ₽ a day. Fancy something from Britain? The Triumph Thunderbird cruiser has 86 hp and costs 12,000 ₽. Of the three, the Road Glide has the most power and is the most at home on long trips. See every bike under motorcycle rental.
What you need
Your passport plus a licence with the A category open. The contract sets the dates, price and deposit. The deposit size depends on the bike and the rental length, and you know it before you sign. No surprise charges later.
Where and when you collect the bike is agreed in advance. Planning to leave the city or ride to another region? Tell us at booking. The full list of conditions is under rental terms.
Handover and return
We fix the handover time and place when you book, so the Road Glide is ready and waiting. A joint look over the bike and two signatures on the contract take only a few minutes.
Return is the same in reverse, at the hour we agreed. Want to keep riding? Tell us before the end date and we will reprice for the longer hire. If your route leaves the ring road or the region, say so at the start so we can agree it before handover.
